about my work

I draw inspiration from various sources - nature and organic forms converge with concepts of community, communication and connectivity. In my work, I address these elements by a reliance on intuitive and deliberate mark making combined with additive methods of construction.

Subtle gradations of graphite and colored pencil evidence the development of form while serving as markers of time in my drawings. My paintings echo these qualities while creating subtle dialogues within the layered compositions.

Within this work, consideration is given to line and form through the use of repetition. This emphasis actuates the communal relationships hinted at by the “dialogues” within the layered compositions of my paintings and the “time markers” of my drawings.
